Edgard Barbosa is a Brazilian contemporary artist based in New York focusing on abstract collage, and design.

Edgard's primary focus centers on creating collages that explore how people embrace images of luxury advertising in our rapid technological and fragmented times through the inevitability of capitalism as a mode of self-understanding.

In his collage work, Edgard works through a multi-step process approach, which begins with korigami: an origami-like technique he developed, in which he achieves abstraction through folding, as opposed to the conventional method of cutting.

His works have been shown in Ki Smith Gallery, Soft Times Gallery, Dodomu Gallery and more.
