Nicole Beno is a Slovak-Canadian-based artist and designer, fascinated with technology and its relationship to the natural world.
Known for her inventive use of materials ranging from orchid petals, jello, office supplies to moldy strawberries, she employs them in ways that emphasize their aesthetic qualities.
Through the process of digital manipulation, she distorts, cuts, collages them into something new. Her photographs and image-making style result in a blend of digital and analog, a remix between the computer and the hand.
