Hoth

I fragment and recombine photographic vantage points and momentary captures. In my landscape work I use a mirror to move beyond the traditional singular vantage point in order to merge spaces in-camera. In my instant film assemblage work, I physically disrupt the developing image, using destruction to evoke loss and process grief while creating entry points where ruptured timelines may come together. This work also explores image disruption as a transgressive, healing and synthesizing process. In my most recent work, I am using digital retouching tools naively to show and critique how algorithms distort our sense of self and place in the world.
