Blake Cale’s raw collage style may appear strange at first glance, but you will quickly start to see the precision in his layered compositions. Torn pages balance against deconstructed figures, set upon muted complementary colors; the effect feels simultaneously analog and digital. Cale presents psychological explorations into the mind and body, and as viewers we are invited to investigate what exists within.
My work ranges from editorial illustration to personal art and exploration. I strive to push the boundaries of collage in order to effectively convey a specific concept or idea.
