Aaron Krach is an artist, writer, and teacher conducting multifaceted investigations into nature, analyzing how the hedonistic pursuits of mankind are influenced by and leave their mark on the world around us. The compositions presented in today’s issue are minimal explorations of social and personal identity contrasted with works of modernist sculpture.
Rocks. Words. Photographs (new and found). Lost earrings. Soldiers in Afghanistan. Vodka. Old books, stuff, myself. I find, rearrange, and combine images and objects and ideas that fill our world. I use, isolate, remix and re-frame hoping to reveal what is overlooked, highlight what is too-often missed, and ask questions. Where are we going? What is freedom? Who am I?
