Guld Knast practices the deconstruction of popular culture. Employing a surrealist attitude towards the creation of his artwork, he relinquishes control and allows a free flow of associations to take form. Dismantling the world around us, Knast guides our breakthrough to the unknown, uncovering fresh understandings of our surroundings.

Fascinated by the history of visual culture, I travel around the landscapes to exotic places and collect forgotten imagery and obscure elements, which I deconstruct and put back together in new and abstract compositions.
