Gabriel Soares’ paper collages combine free-form shapes and muted colors to create striking compositions. Meticulously arranging his cuts and tears, he employs frayed textures that give an impromptu edge to his work. Throughout the works in today's issue, Soares explores themes of nature and human manipulations and presentations of the natural world.
Gabriel is a multidisciplinary Brazilian artist. His connection with art began with photography, and over time he found himself in collage. During the experimentation process, his identity was gradually built, creating several different aspects. Currently, his research focuses on mixed techniques, with minimalist and abstract forms, mixing acrylic and pastels in the creation process.
