Nazatto

Carol Nazatto creates visual poetry using images and, in her analog collages, various paper materials. Her artworks are defined by simple yet powerful palettes of color and neatly arranged compositions. Each piece communicates a sense of hope, providing encouragement in an often difficult world.

Collage for me is a tool to tell stories, to create new worlds. Choosing disconnected images and putting them together is the way I chose to translate all my questions. Collage, for me, is a poetic narrative in the form of an image.

It was by experimenting digitally and analogically that I found my most active artistic expression. Since 2012 I have been working with digital media, creating graphic solutions for various projects in partnership with big names in the Brazilian and European publishing market, design studios, brands, and production companies. With analogue collages, I create poetic narratives, using paper as a platform to create visual poetry. I graduated with a degree in fashion with a specialization in art history, I look to my repertoire for inspiration to create stories in the form of images.
