Ferran Coves constructs whimsical mixed-media collages, incorporating three-dimensional elements, graphite illustrations, vibrant color bursts, cheerful personas, and dynamic athletes. Exhibiting a keen eye for composition, he assembles shapes to narrate his compelling and charming visual stories.

For myself, the essence of collage lies in the focused contemplation it demands, as well as the harmonious interplay of shapes and colors that ultimately serve to convey a meaningful message.

My name is Ferran Coves Boix, I trained in drawing, graphic arts, audiovisual graphic communication and self-editing. I currently work in the world of publishing, pre-press and graphic design. I have worked, among other places, at La Vanguardia, El Punt Avui and at some advertising and printing agencies. I have done projects for Olot Museums and Turisme Garrotxa, among others. I collaborate as an illustrator in different media, such as "la Comarca d'Olot" and "la Directa" illustrating opinion articles. I create images, graphics, collages and animations, which communicate an idea in a peculiar way. I occasionally teach collage workshops for children or adults.
