Today's collage scene is full of big international names who are continually innovating to elevate collage on par with major artistic disciplines. From this great group of artists, I would like to highlight the large number of women of different ages, styles and nationalities who create and innovate collage today. I verified it during the creation and curation of the book Collage by Women, which I published in 2019.
But among this big, energetic and promising panorama of women collagists, in my opinion, one name always stands out above the rest, the German artist Isabel Reitemeyer. Minimalism, subtlety, talent, cynicism and a great ingenuity determine her work, always with a perfect and precise cut to build unique pieces of great poetic value. The perfect proof that less is more. A continuous source of good inspiration. For this publication, we have selected this wonderful series of suggestive portraits, which, based on black and white, further enhance these ideas.

Collage for me means experimenting, re-thinking, and switching off. And it also keeps my mind going.
