The enigmatic and peculiar collages by Musta Fior initially elicit a sense of tension; however, further scrutiny uncovers a series of juxtapositions that unveil the clandestine objectives embedded within the appropriated source materials. These cryptic configurations gradually become more lucid upon thorough examination. As we navigate these compositions, Fior's elusive works often yield more unanswered inquiries than concrete resolutions.
For me, collage is a real artistic discipline. I have been practicing it for more than ten years. It is also a meditative discipline and above all I really like this idea of transforming several images into one to create new universes. That's kind of why I very often work in series, I'm constantly looking for something new. I am not influenced by anyone but I am obviously immersed in the historical culture of collage, of which some essential artists for me are Hannah Höch, Erró, Prévert, Hugnet, Teige, etc.
