Allan Bealy's work is a testament to the enduring legacy of the Dadaists. His use of found materials, layered intricately in both order and chaos, is a clear indication of the influence on his work. Motifs of war, nature, and the body are recurring themes in the yellowed collages. Bealy masterfully constructs each image, culminating as candid analyses of mortality.
At this point in my life, collage is just about as necessary as breathing. It is how I process the information I gather in my daily life. When I return to the studio I reinterpret that data in collage. They are diagrams as much as they are art.

My art is focused on the tactile and sensual properties of the materials I work with. The physical qualities of the paper — texture, weight, fragility— are most interesting to me. As with any art form, the pleasure is in world-building and story telling. Being able to develop a narrative with the materials at your disposal is always the challenge and the reward. My work most often examines the natural world and the impact of contemporary life on our biome. Since we live in a culture of waste and excess and our landfills continue to grow, collage, using materials that have been retrieved and repurposed is the perfect vehicle to reflect on our world.
