Vicenzi

Raphaël Vicenzi is a purveyor of the unusual. Vicenzi challenges the boundaries of high-end fashion photography by infusing elements of raw mark-making into his work. By manipulating and vandalizing source materials from prestigious fashion houses, he juxtaposes the elevated with the raw, a blend that is as seductive as it is confounding.

Collage is about telling a new story with the images that I gather and cut up. It's about making sense of the chaos in my mind and rediscovering my internal landscape in a visual form. I am trying to find meaning and sense in everything around me through this medium. Expressing these ideas, finding connections between contrasting images and shapes is as vital as is breathing to me.
