Black Sunset, 2024
Mixed Media Collage
10.2 x 8.7 in.

Alejandro Peters collages demand your attention. With bold contrasts and meticulously layered compositions, mixing old photographs, anatomical drawings, and striking modern visuals, his work unravels a sense of mystery. The architecture of his pieces feels deliberate yet elusive, guiding the eye through fragments of time. Peters invites you to question what’s hidden beneath the surface, transforming familiar imagery into something enigmatic, where each layer holds a secret waiting to be discovered.

ESC, 2024
Analog collage
8.2 x 9.8 in.

I make collage because it has given me a lot of happiness. In 2009 I gave up art. At that time I combined collage with illustration, it took 10 years to experiment with art again, collage rescued me and revived my love for art, it also gave me a reason to believe again in me and my ideas to be able to do something from scratch. I make collage when I'm depressed, happy, sad or tired. It's a natural escape where I don't necessarily express how I feel, but what I can say is that once I finish a piece, I'm never the same again. I make collage because through my compositions I can create new visual stories.

Pain Killer, 2023
Mixed Media Collage, 10.2 x 7.5 in.

Collage means transformation, freedom, chaos and feelings. Transformation because I can alter the order of what is established. Freedom because I have no limits when it comes to experimenting. Chaos, because behind every creation, there is always disorder, not that it is bad, but even in chaos there is beauty. Feelings, because I like to believe that each piece I make transmits something or seeks to make you feel something.

Orange Flavor, 2024
Analog Collage, 8.2  x 9.8 in.

Life's a Journey, 2024
Mixed Media Collage, 7.5 x 10 in.

More than a theme, I like to use geometric elements such as circles, rectangles, squares, I have an obsession with clouds and the sun in orange. I like to integrate elements of human anatomy, I like to show the different layers of who we are, from muscles to bones.

We're All Connected, 2024
Mixed Media Collage, 8.6 x 11 in.

Me Myself and I, 2024
Analog Collage, 8.2 x 9.8 in.

LISTEN

The Holydrug Couple – Bolero Tampoco

With a sound that evokes the dreamlike natural wonders of their homeland, duo the Holydrug Couple rose out of the burgeoning psychedelic rock scene rising out of Chile in the early 2010s. Based in Santiago, members Ives Sepúlveda and Manuel Parra cultivated a drifting, sometimes bluesy sound that weaved a gentle, repetitive tapestry of guitar, drums, and vocals.
