Nostalgic for eras he never knew, Guillaume Bougie Riopel accumulates magazines, brochures and family archives in order to deconstruct them and bring them into a new narrative. Interested in architecture, design, fashion and objects, the artist uses collage to gather these interests and create aesthetic universes that resemble him. With this medium, the artist wishes to pay tribute to the beauty of everyday life. His favorite creations are often the result of an accident. Simply turning a cut-out element is enough to explore a new story.
